Eli Paperboy Reed announced his spring tour dates, from March 11th through March 29th, taking
him from his home state of Massachuesetts, through Austin, TX for SXSW and as far west as Jackson
Mississippi before returning home. You can see all the

PLUG Awards 2008 put on a successful night of music and fun
The Plug Awards took place on March 6, 2008 in New York with a night
of great music from acts like Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, St. Vincent and Jose Gonzalez. The

UFO Music releases new album from Black 47
Black 47 released their new album, Iraq, on UFO Music, with a stellar
review from Rolling Stone Magazine (March 6 issue). Iraq adds a recent release to Black 47's
already impressive list of accomplishments since their debut album in 1992.
Talent Clearing House Founder conducts Crash Course at SXSW 08
Talent Clearing House founder Paul Barretta conducted a crash course on Accounting and Finance
for musicians and record labels at SXSW 08. The session was well received by an audience of musicians,
record label representatives and other industry professionals.
The Redwalls appear on David Letterman
MAD Dragon Records band The Redwalls appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman
on January 23, 2008. The band played Game Of Love, the recent single from their self-titled
album on Drexel University run MAD Dragon Records. The video for Game Of Love will be released
in the coming months.

TCH recently announced the addition of MAD Dragon Records, a faculty and student run record label of Drexel
University. Included on their roster are The Swimmers, The Redwalls, Matt Duke, Jules Shear and

Talent Clearing House founder to moderate panel at CMJ Music Marathon
Paul G. Barretta, founder of Talent Clearing House, will be moderating the panel
License to Thrive: How to Maximize Label Advances and Royalties, on Saturday,
November 4th as part of CMJ Music Marathon 2006 in New York. Joining Barretta on the
panel will be Dina LaPolt (LaPolt Law); Rick Kennel (Indie Financial Network);

Damien Dempsey documentary now available on-line
The documentary, It's All Good: The Damien Dempsey Story by independent filmmaker
Dara McCluskey, originally broadcast on Ireland's national television station RTE
and shown at film festivals in Ireland and New York can now be viewed online. The film
follows Damien's career progression up to the release of his second full length album
"Seize the Day," and is a great background piece to see how far Damo has come in becoming

Duenow song "Skeksi Chant" appears on F/X Original Series "Rescue Me"
Chicago-based husband and wife duo Duenow's track is featured in the July 25th episode
of F/X's New York firefighter drama "Rescue Me." The group was also recently featured
in the "Now Hear This" section of Billboard Magazine's June 10th 2006 issue.

Plug Independent Music Awards Launches City Highlight Tour
The Plug Awards will launch their City Highlight Tour
along with Super!Alright! in Austin, TX at The Parish on Saturday, April 28th featuring
music by The Arm, Loxsly, and Single Frame. Working with local promoters, PLUG will help
create an all-local show in various cities highlighting the best-unknown bands,
fashion designers and zines. Shows are scheduled in Denver (May), Toronto (June)
and Montreal (July).
Three Imaginary Boys win EchoBoom Battle Of The Bands.
At the April 23rd finals of EchoBoom, a battle of local youth bands, the band
Three Imaginary Boys put on a half-hour set well worthy of winning the battle. In
addition to an amazing cover of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love, the trio delighted
the audience with a strong set of mostly originals. Our congratulations go out
to the band, as well as the other three finalists, The Big Green, Ytsejam and Endeaver.
We applaud the efforts of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and the sponsors of EchoBoom for
recognizing the importance of music participation in any community.

spinART Records artist Apollo Sunshine is featured on a

On April 4th, City Canyons Records
released This Damn Song from Jen Elliott and Bluestruck. This is the band's second
release on the label, a follow-up to their debut CD The Secret's Out. They will be

Local Battle of the Bands EchoBoom Announces Finalists.
On March 25th, Leadership Wilkes-Barre held EchoBoom, a battle of local youth bands. On April 23rd,
four finalists (Ytsejam, The Big Green, Endeaver and Three Imaginary Boys) will take
the stage at Woodlands, a local venue, to battle for first place. We at Talent Clearing
House wish each band the best of luck, and applaud the efforts of Leadership Wilkes-Barre
and their recognition of the importance of music participation.

City Canyons Records artists Jen Elliott and Bluestruck
and The Velmas will be touring the mid-Atlantic States and the Northeast at the end
of April. Adding additional luster for a subsequent Fall 2006 tour will be The Alrights
joining Jen and the Velmas for a package of music that will have hearts beating faster
